Education Innovations Institute
The global nursing shortage and the growing demands for more qualified healthcare workers requires a re-visioning of healthcare workforce education. The Education Innovations Institute is focused on bring solutions to address these needs. Through a unique approach to education the Institute has embarked on a major undertaking that will provide a combination on on-line and experiential learning opportunities to bring healthcare worker education and employment to underrepresented sectors of society.
The program is design to offer on-going growth opportunities that build upon the success of individual students. Starting with Certified Nursing Assistant and Community Health Workers, it builds bridges to the Licensed Practical Nurse and Associate Degree in Nursing, as well as other Allied Health Professions. This web-enhanced curriculum will be placed in multiple community centers around the world, opening the door to a meaningful career and economic freedom for many while helping address the need for more qualified healthcare workers.
The following Education Innovation Goals are dedicated to enhancement of the healthcare workforce who:
- Build a career pathway program for non-traditional students; Strengthen their understanding of health needs & services locally & globally;
- Expand their capacity to work in hospital and community settings of the future with an emphasis on quality and health promotion;
- Reconsider their ideas about minimal essential resources with a more realistic global perspective;
